1982 Pininfarina GAMMA Coupe Manual Low 30k Miles

eBay Listing: http://www.ebay.co.uk:80/itm...

EBAY AUCTION ONLY! - ENDS 23 Oct, 201118:27:12 BST

Seller Description:

Rare early registered Series 2 Lancia Gamma Coupe in Right Hand Drive with original 30,000 miles from new. This vehicle has come from a Private Collection of important low mileage Lancia's.

Series 2 Gamma Coupe's came with refinements and detailing improvements though very few were ultimately registered worldwide. The majority suffered with corrosion and so they are scarce in such well preserved condition.

This vehcile is featured in the September 2011 issue of Classic & Sportcar Magazine page 126 - 133. The tester was Martin Buckley who is an expert on Lancia's from the 1970's & 1980's. He told us on the day that this Gamma Coupe would be his choice from the Lotus, Mercedes, Lancia line up but his editor felt that he should surprise the readers by selecting a different vehicle as his favourite. The article reads well about this car and everybody was complimentary. If you go to WH Smiths this month you can find 'Auto Italia' magazine November 2011 issue which features a test feature called 'The last real Lancia?' (pages 44 - 49). This vehicle is featured as the Series 2 Coupe representative. Simon Park was the tester on the day and really put all cars very heavily through their paces (he is an ex sports and motor racing test driver). He commented on the day that this car felt tightest and most nimble for sports driving.

This is an excellent example of a rare and highly attractive Pininfarina designed coupe. I have ceovered some long distances and had no mechanical or performance issues whatsoever. It will have a fresh 12 months MOT by the time the new owner collects the car. The paintwork is very good but there are a few very minor flaws, not least a key scratch put in the front o/s wing just this week outside of my friends home - see photo. There is also a small blister at the foot of the n/s sill and on the very bottom corner of the passenger door. These are easily treated and should be done soon to preserve the excellent overall appearance of the car. The passenger door mirror shroud has rust in it but both optional extra electric door mirror operate well, as do both electric windows. The arial on the rear n/s wing needs to be replaced. The original window sticker is still in the rear window of the car and I have original Warranty booklet, Lancia anti corossion 6 Year Guarantee booklet and Coupe Instruction Book.

The original supplier key ring is still with the key and I have a spare set also.

The interior is consistent with the very low mileage and looks particularly attractive in the period dark blue 'L-Cloth' finish. The design of the front seats means that a sharp compenent within the seat pushes through and makes a very small hole on the outer base pad on both front seats. I have super-sized the images in order that you can see this minor flaw. Generally the interior is otherwise superb. The Lancia Gamma Consortium is a small but very well organised group. All members I have had contact with have been enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and helpful gentlemen, so I would urge interested parties to connect with the consortium both to check the details to look for in buying a vehcile and in order to continue to preserve the few remaining examples.

The history file is fairly scant and would suggest that between 2000 - 2008 the vehicle was in storage unused most probably.

Private listing on http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C256823

OFFERS AROUND £6,000

Seller Description:

Here is my beloved 1990 G-reg and black with no rust. It's standard (bar the usual wear and tear items like shocks) and came from Japan 4 years ago (have original shipping invoice)

It indicates 87,000km and feels it but I can't validate that. Neil at NJS said the engine was "sweet" and I have just done around 500 miles in a weekend to Goodwood and back.
There is no rust and the car turns heads everywhere it goes
It has 12 months MOT and 6 months tax

Things I've done:
Replaced headlights (all 4)
New radiator, silicon hoses and a thermostat
New discs
New front suspension top mounts (spherical bearings)
New brake master cylinder (original Bosch so it works)
New brake bias valve
Braided hoses
New handbrake cable
Renewed gearbox, front diff and rear diff oil
Cam belts and all tensioners done at 72,000km
Magnacore leads
Polybushed suspension
Straight through stainless centre section exhaust
Replaced passenger electric window mechanism
Waxoyled interior as was fitting a new boot carpet
New elbow joints in the fuel lines as they exit the tank
New black head lining (see photo)

Things to do:
It has aircon which has been stripped but I still have all the components so could be refitted
The interior is the usual stripy and a little dated so I have a complete green interior (see photos)and I have carpet die to turn the carpets black
The wheels are tatty (not curbed) so could do with a re-paint
Paintwork needs buffing and tarting

All in all a very nice Integrale which needs a new home

I have more photos all high resolution plus a sheef of invoices in my ownership which should knock any worries out of the equation

1989 Delta Integrale KAT model - RED

Private Listing on http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C246515

£10,250

Seller Description:

I am selling my Lancia Integrale which is in outstanding condition. It is the KAT built for the Swiss Market and has the renowned bottom end of the 16 valve engine and the reliable turbo charged top end of the 8 valve engine which provides the best mix of performance against engine ruggedness.

The car has a sunshine roof and a red/black/grey colour schema

The interior and exterior of the car is in beautiful condition and has to be seen to be believed. It has a Martini logo steering wheel, and the fully instrumented dashboard associated with these cars.

It has just been serviced and had those elements of the engine electronics that can wear over time, upgraded. It is running beautifully and the performance has to be experienced to be appreciated. Roadholding can only be described as supreme.

I am keen to get on with a project and am thus reducing the price for a quick sale.

1981 Beta Spyder ~ Condition 1 ~ One of the Best

Private Listing on http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C246828

OFFERS AROUND £5,250

Seller Description:

I have decided to sell this beauty as according to my wife I have far too many cars (I only have 6) and at least one of them has to go “It’s me or your cars” she said
Well I thought about it for a bit but try as I might I could not get any of my cars to do the housework or cooking so reluctantly I am going to have to let one of them go.
All joking aside and in fairness I have to admit that I only every use the cars at weekends in the summer months and I never get the time to use them all (just too many Toys) so even though I said I would never sell it; Up for sale it is.

I have owned the car for over 3 years and used it sparingly only doing local mileage and going to shows such as the Woodvale Rally and Tatton Park.
The previous owner to me owned the car for 13 years and maintained the car to a high standard, even recording all the work that had been carried out to the car whilst in his ownership in a little note book which sadly I was never able to keep up.

The car was featured in Practical Classics magazine July 1999 a copy of which will come with the car.

The car has won the following class awards

3rd in Class Woodvale Rally 2008
2nd in Class Woodvale Rally 2010
3rd in Class Woodvale Rally 2011 (6th August 2011)

All the Rosettes will come with the car.
I attended in one of my other cars in 2009 and sadly won nothing ! (Didn’t make that mistake again)

Make no mistakes the car is not concours but the awards above show you that if nothing else the car is pretty decent and there or there abouts.

I would put the car in the Condition 1 category, very, very good and would require minimal work to make concours, but anyway I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

I don’t have the time or the inclination to give a lengthy description of the Spyder as people rarely read it all and only end up asking questions that are already included in the listing so only the salient points are listed below. If you need to know more, then by all means ask via the link or better still come and view the car in person.

The Car

Body
As you can see by the pictures the car is in good condition. The car having benefitted from TLC over the years. The car has had some sympathetic upgrades which have gone to prolong its life.
HPE wheel arch liners have been fitted and rubber impact strips along the bodywork have been fitted to protect the car.
Mention Lancia and everyone goes overboard about rust issues, obviously the car will have had rust at sometime over its 30 year life but there is nothing major on this car to note. No Rust bursting through or holes or parts falling off everything is very presentable.
The paintwork although having been touched up over the years is very bright, with one touch up on the o/s passenger wing slightly darker than the rest of the bodywork ~ not a “biggy” but I thought I would mention it anyway.
All Chrome work is still bright and rust free and the targa top and hood (Quality Mohair not Vynil) are free from rips and damage.
A toneau cover is also present to stow the hood in as you are cruising in the sunshine
The alloys are all kerb free and the tyres have plenty of tread.

Mechanically
Well just look at the engine Bay !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have always looked after this car and it has always driven a treat and never let me down, Two months ago I started to notice a drop in power and it was diagnosed as a head gasket problem, So no expense spared off to my local garage for a head upgrade, All gaskets ,bolts, seals ,filter, oil ,belts both cam and alternator were changed and since the head was off giving access I had a new master cylinder fitted and full brake bleed as previously I had felt the brakes were a bit spongy.
This relived me of £1200 but the engine after a tune now appears to be even better than it was before and with a cam belt change having taken place any prospective purchaser should have piece of mind for many miles to come.
The car starts and drives like a dream with no untoward knocks, rattles or whines.
The car has an oil cooler fitted and an extra switch operated electric fuel pump installed in case of failure of the mechanical unit.

Interior
The interior is original black vinyl which usually has disintegrated in most Spyders by now and whilst not in the “flushes of youth” my cars interior is perfectly serviceable with no rips or tares in the seat material. The dash is free from cracks and all the dials and switches work as they should.
Carpets are all good.

On the Road
Forget the X Factor this is were you get the Grin Factor. The car has just been tuned and once the car is on the move accelerating past 2500 rpm you get the feeling that the car has grabbed you by the back of the neck and thrown you down the road, The lovely roar of the two litre twin cam makes this car sound just as good as it looks.

So there we have it a short honest appraisal, as mentioned earlier if you require any further information then please ask.
The car is in good condition and the low mileage of 77K from what I have ascertained appears to be genuine. It’s an eye catcher which draws admiring glances when out and about and is frequently the subject of conversation when enthusiastic and appreciative members of the general public want to stop you and talk all things Lancia.I have been stopped on many occasions with people trying to buy the car. It is MOT’d until Aug 2012 and is currently sorned. The winning bidder would be required to tax the car at their own expense before driving it away.

This car is not a restoration project or any other kind of project requiring work. It is a fully serviceable use “as is” car and looks as good if not better than it does in the pictures. As mentioned earlier this car is a cut above of your run of the mill Beta Spyder and therefore I am not giving it away. Don’t under estimate the expense in getting a Spyder to this condition.
Price wise these cars are definitely on the way up with examples now being advertised in excess of £9K, even the rusty wrecks, MOT failures and cars that are described as Restoration Projects are now realizing close to £2k.

I have been as honest as I possibly can in my description but people’s perception of condition and value differ greatly so if you are unsure then please enquire further, still unsure then please feel free to source another car elsewhere as I like many other Advertisers have suffered at the hands of time wasters on previous endeavours.
Payment is to be either cash on collection or cheque or bankers draft to have cleared before the car can be removed.

Lastly I am no fool and know what the car is worth. I am open to offers but I will not be responding to “Mickey Mouse Offers” along the lines of “Will you take £3K and next doors cat in Part Ex”
I have refused numerous offers on the car before and a Neighbour has offered me £4000 and is waiting in the wings so it wont be getting sold for less than that.
The car has had a serious amount of money spent on it over the years, but more than that it has been looked after, with often less than 200 miles going on the clock per year.
It is a very good example I know it and anyone that comes to see it will see that also.
Rest assured whoever buys this car will be very happy and will be getting good value for their hard earned cash and as previous testimony shows is not out of place at any of the classic car shows.
The car is listed via this classified listing and I strongly advise all interested parties to come and view.If it is not sold during its listing I will not be re listing it again or taking offers on the car after the listings end.
I will not end the Listing early unless the car has either been paid for in full and removed or a deposit has been paid and an agreement has been made with myself for a collection time.

The car is Mot’d to August 2012 and is currently sorned I have only given a brief outline here and can only show 6 pictures should you require any further information or pictures of any particular area then please e-mail me for further details.

1990 Delta HF Turbo i.e ~ Well sorted Car For Sale

Private Listing @ http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C247639

£2,500

Seller Description:

Up for sale here is my Lancia Delta HF Turbo i.e (Martini edition).
I have decided to sell this car as on reflection it’s another of my cars that going forward I cannot see me using that much as I now have 6 cars.
This car has been more than just a project, but an object of obsession.

This car should need no introduction, most of you reading this know what you are looking at, but for those of you who don't, this car is an automotive icon, a platform upon which well known rally cars were based. The car in question, the Lancia Delta Integrale won several successive rally car championships, the longest run for any particular manufacturer to date! Not only this, but stylistically this car is unparalleled within its genus, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, who designed the VW Golf mk 1 and many iconic sports cars, he was voted the greatest car designer of last century. The uninterrupted lines of this car set it apart from the Integrale.

The car was bought in the summer of 2007 and during the last 4 years of ownership has covered nigh on 11000 miles, a modest number, but enough to indicate that the car is fully functional as everyday transport. To begin with the car encountered a few teething troubles, for example a cold start issue, slightly loose gearbox mounts and suspension mounts and a hole in the exhaust. All of these problems were ironed out promptly at a cost of £381 and a new cam-belt was added for good measure at £113. From that point onwards the car has had replaced all the working parts which were considered could have degraded with time, affecting the overall performance of the car, these include:

Avanti Sports suspension (all round) £325
Black Diamond brake discs £200
Black Diamond brake pads £73
Black diamond braided brake line kit (throughout) £120
Goodridge Stainless steel Brake lines £180
Samco Silicone Hose Kit £59
K&N air filter £75
Custom made heat shield (ensures that the air filter draws in cooler air, which improves performance and prolongs the life of the engine) £80
Bailey recirculation valve (not an exhibitionists dump valve) & Fitting Kit £99
OMP strut braces (improving rigidity of the shell of the car) £103
Long life stainless steel exhaust pipe -from the down-pipe to tail (lifetime guarantee) £425
Helix Autosport performance road clutch £306
NGK performance spark plugs £36

As well as the cam-belt, the following have been replaced as and when required:

Column switches £56
Tyres £360
Battery (very recently) £60
Toad car alarm and immobiliser Full Thatcham Category one with Certificate £375.

This covers most of the functional parts have been replaced. After having managed to get the car (in many respects) to a standard which could be considered to be better than the factory made original, due to better brakes and a more rigid structure and premium quality replacement parts, focus was switched to the cosmetic side of things, the interior and exterior of the car. Which included:

Replacement door handles (which are very difficult to get hold of)
Custom made reproduction badges all round (the original ones degrade with age)
Full body respray (3 years ago) £2356
Momo car mats (in black)
Recaro leather seats and matching rear seat (rare as hens teeth, specifically designed for the HF Turbo)
Evo Style rear roof Spoiler £305

The Martini Livery was removed from the exterior prior to its full respray and was not replaced as quite frankly the car looks better without it, but they could be easily replaced by the new owner if required .Another plus point to add is that this car has the original wheels, which look better than aftermarket wheels and they are designed for this car, she would not handle any better with aftermarket wheels. There is an aftermarket stereo and CD player/ radio fitted £200 which is more than adequate and an improvement against the stock original.

All of the aforementioned modifications were done tastefully and in-keeping with the intended performance level and refined looks of the car, as they were originally conceived on the drawing board. The cost of the parts alone, excluding labour, came to around £4500.

There are no desperate modifications which would squeeze a few added horse power out of the car at the expense of the life-span of the car. The car is plenty fast enough as it is, at 140 BHP, the car weighs in at a mere metric tonne, which gives this car an astounding power-to weight ratio of 140BHP/tonne.

If however you are interested in making this car even MORE powerful, there are ways in which you can achieve this sensibly (to 200BHP), either with or without getting a chip-tune. It all depends on how much you want to spend. But I think that you will be more than pleased with the performance of this car and leave it the way Lancia intended.

The turbo was only 1000 miles old (Summer 2007)and after a mere 11,000 miles there are no problems to report, the engine sounds beautiful, you would have to hear it to understand what I mean. Every mechanic that has had this car up on ramps has been amazed at the underside of the car, which I am pleased to concur is completely solid, due to a former owner having had the foresight to have the underneath sealed, notoriously the weakest point. However remember that it is a Lancia and like all Lancia’s you have to keep the “Tin Worm” in check, Fortunately for this car the car is very good condition as the pictures indicate, it does however have a small amount of "cosmetic rust”, however small and cosmetic is all it is, there are no points of structural rust. It would be unusual for a Lancia of this age to be rust free. These could be cleaned up easily; I have left them visible so as not to hide it from prospective buyers. The areas that are beginning to show include the front corners of the sunroof, the rear of the roof skin, a patch on the nearside passenger door, the very beginnings of bubbling around the windscreen and rear window and the offside rear wheel arch, but all are at a modest level of progression, Let me stress we are talking very minor here small and not the in your face poke your finger through hole variety in fact the car sailed through its last MOT with only one advisory (a loose suspension mount), which was fixed by a local mechanic (apart from simple jobs, all other work done on the car was carried out by Lancia specialists).

All mechanical parts of the car are working well and drives like a dream and is testament how well this car has been looked after and its low mileage of 77K.The car is MOTD until June 2012 but is currently SORN’d through lack of use.

She starts on the first twist of the key in all weathers.

So, all in all, this car is an excellent example of its breed. I'm sure there can't be many, if any, with lower mileage in the country and in better mechanical condition than this one and although rust is emerging in certain small areas, I think that she probably compares favourably to most other examples.

I have the V5 registration document and a substantial amount of the service history, old bills/receipts and previous MOTs with stamps in the service book, right up to 1999. Unfortunately, between 1999 and 2007, a less conscientious owner failed to keep a service record, but it shouldn't matter in the scheme of things as the car has not wanted for anything and is in excellent shape and pretty much all of the receipts for parts and labour over the last four years has been kept with plenty of documentation to verify that the mileage is genuine.

Whoever drives this car away will be blown away by its looks and performance. It handles excellently (check out the description on:
http://www.whalley-integrale.uk.com/hist.htm and Wikipedia), it is fast enough off the mark to give you a fright and it looks nothing less than stunning, it certainly gets a lot of attention.

This car is not a restoration project or any other kind of project requiring work. It is a fully serviceable use “as is” car and looks as good if not better than it does in the pictures. As my listing alludes and mentioned earlier this car is a cut above of your run of the mill Delta Turbo i.e. Don’t under estimate the expense in getting a similar car to this condition.

I have been as honest as I possibly can in my description but people’s perception of condition and value differ greatly so if you are unsure then please enquire further, still unsure then please feel free to source another car elsewhere as I like many other sellers have suffered at the hands of time wasters on previous endeavours.
Payment is to be either cash on collection or cheque or bankers draft to have cleared before the car can be removed.

NB. The aftermarket competition clutch is stiffer than a usual clutch as you would expect.

1927 Lambda Torpedo Seventh Series - Auction

Auction Listing @ http://www.rmauctions.com/FeatureCars.cfm?SaleCode=LF11&CarID=r137&fc=0

PRIVATE AUCTION - ESTIMATE £78,000-£92,000 - ENDS Wednesday, October 26, 2011

Seller Description:

59 bhp, 2,370 cc V-4 engine, four-speed manual transmission, independent front suspension, rear suspension via live axle and semi-elliptical leaf springs, and four-wheel drum brakes. Wheelbase: 3,420 mm

• Revolutionary Lancia monocoque design
• Fully restored by specialists
• Perfect event car, eligible for Mille Miglia

Few automakers possess as storied and innovative a history as Lancia, the Turinese automaker started by Vincenzo Lancia in late November 1906. Sig. Lancia got his start by working as an inspector for Fiat and, later, as a successful racing car driver. His dream, however, was to create a line of groundbreaking cars that would excel both on the road and track. What he envisioned eventually became the steel monocoque, now known today as unibody construction and used in almost every modern production car. In an era where every vehicle was of heavy body-on-frame design, to say that Lancia’s monocoque design was revolutionary is an understatement.

The 7th Series Lambda was introduced in May 1926 and continued the policy of gradual improvement seen in previous series. It was built on two wheelbase lengths, the Tipo 216/217 long chassis or the shorter Tipo 218/219 Corta model (the numbers denoting torpedo or saloon coachwork respectively). Obvious external identifying features from earlier series included smaller doors and a distinctive boot-lid design. Internally, the most significant change was the introduction of the Tipo 78 engine. The upgraded 2,370-cc V-4 engine produces 59 horsepower and several features to improve refinement and reliability. This engine went on to power all the following series of Lambdas, including, in more highly tuned form, those that competed so successfully for the factory in races such as the Mille Miglia from 1928.

This particular car was discovered in 1960 in complete but dismantled condition by Lancia enthusiast John Davies of Perth, Western Australia. In 1976 Mr. Davies sold the car to Walter Hunter, also in Western Australia, who carried out a rebuild to get the car into running condition. In 1993 John Davies re-purchased the car and decided to commission a comprehensive and total restoration. The person chosen to carry out this work was renowned Lambda expert Richard Furlong of Castlemaine, Victoria. Mr. Davies was familiar with his exploits in driving one of his own Lambdas from London to Australia in 1988. The ensuing works covered every aspect of the car: chassis, suspension, steering, brakes, engine, gearbox, axle, body, electrics and trim. Once completed in 1995, the car made its post-restoration debut in that year’s biennial Lancia Register Castlemaine Rally. Photographs from the event plus other Club rallies can be found in the car’s history file, along with photographs of the car pre-restoration and of the ongoing works. The car continued to be used sparingly by Mr. Davies before being sold to a prominent Californian collection in 2004.

Having seen limited use since its comprehensive restoration, this Lambda remains in excellent condition throughout and is ready to embark on a wide range of tours and events to which these outstandingly capable cars are ideally suited, including of course the Mille Miglia.

Please note, this beautiful Lambda comes with all EU taxes paid and an MOT, ready to be UK registered.

Inconsistent build quality had badly dented Lancia's reputation during the 1970s and it needed to raise its game to survive. Launched at the 1984 Turin Motor Show as a replacement for the ageing Gamma, the Thema was intended to restore customer confidence in the executive market, and its galvanized steel chassis and comprehensive corrosion protection were a major step in the right direction. The car oozed pedigree too, with a Saloon penned by Giugiaro and an Estate bearing the hallmark of Pininfarina. During its ten-year production cycle, the newcomer was fitted with five different petrol engines ranging in a capacity from 2.0 to 3.0 litres and a 2.5 litre diesel but, without doubt, the prince among the range was the 8.32 model. Unveiled in 1986, it was powered by a unique, cross-plane crank version of the Ferrari 308GTB QV unit, making it the world's only Ferrari-engined Saloon. In non-catalysed form, the 2927cc V8 produced 212bhp - sufficient to propel the Thema from 0-62mph in a whisker over seven seconds and on to a top speed of almost 150mph. The car featured a sumptuous hand-made wood and leather interior by Poltrona Frau. Other special features of the 8.32 included Ferrari-style five-spoke alloy wheels, and a manually extendable bootlid spoiler. Quite a car, of which only nine examples are thought to have been sold on the UK market!

The left-hand drive Thema on offer was sold new to the principal of a German Lancia dealership in 1990 and imported to the UK by a specialist before being acquired by the vendor. It received a stainless steel exhaust and engine overhaul by a Ferrari technician in 2000 and new cambelts in 2001. It has also had a new clutch and brake discs / pads, and the alloy wheels have been refurbished. Said to have been properly serviced by a Lancia specialist, the 8.32 has been regularly used as weekend transport and kept in a dry garage. The Lancia featured in the December 1999 edition of Classic Cars magazine and comes complete with a copy of the article, massive history file (£12,000 of UK bills), two keys and thirty-eight photos of the engine overhaul. Currently taxed and tested it can be driven away from today's sale.
